Get to know Canadian Women’s Hockey League Allstar, Jenna Cunningham!


What is it about hockey that you enjoy?

“I like the competitiveness, and the team atmosphere. I like how fast paced the game is and how there is always something you can improve on.”


Did you play other sports growing up?

“I played every sport I could get my hands on as a kid. I think cross training is the biggest asset for an athlete. I played soccer, rugby, basketball, volleyball and badminton.”


Did you play hockey while you went to college? Where did you go and what was your experience like?

“I played NCAA Division I hockey at Dartmouth College.  Dartmouth is located in Hanover, NH.

It was the best 4 years of my life. I learned about leadership skills, time management skills, and the importance of a strong work ethic. I also got to experience what it was like to be a part of a different kind of family and work towards a common goal.”


What has been the highlight of your playing career so far?

“While at college I had the opportunity to play on a team that won the IVY League championship as well as the ECAC championship which was exciting. I also recently participated in the first ever
